A couple of my favorite things about moving to a new town are, 1.Meeting new and wonderful people and 2.Getting to photograph those people in locations that are completely new to me. Living in Georgia for so long I felt like I had photographed every possible location in the area. Now that I am living in Eugene, Oregon every session is thrilling because I am not bored of these spots yet…and honestly I don’t know if I ever will be. Oregon is incredibly beautiful and there are many great spots to explore! I enjoyed every moment with the Gabbert family this past December at Dorris Ranch in Springfield. It was a cold morning but they were all such troopers while exploring the Ranch with me. One of the most challenging parts of family sessions with little ones is also my favorite part of family sessions. Little ones don’t usually like to sit and pose for more than five seconds so family sessions usually turn into lots of games, running around, and giggling. They make for some of the most genuine and natural moments which always inspires me as a photographer. Thanks Gabbert Family, it was such a joy to photograph y’all!
